Candace Vanderwall
CEO & Founding AttorneyImmigration is not abstract to Candace. She was born overseas, and her father is a naturalized U.S. citizen. She grew up in Corvallis and Salem, spent a year living and working in France, and worked two years as a paralegal before law school.
She earned her business degree at the University of Oregon with departmental honors and her J.D. at Willamette University College of Law, and has been licensed by the Oregon State Bar since October 2013. She founded Vanderwall Immigration in January 2016 and opened the Salem office in March 2020. She is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, and is married with three children.

We charge fixed fees with no hidden costs. You get the exact number for your matter after the consultation, once we know what is actually involved.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes. Flexible payment plans are available, and we will work out the schedule with you before you sign anything.
What should I bring to the consultation?
Identification, plus any immigration or criminal records for yourself and your family members. If you are not sure whether a document matters, bring it.
What kinds of cases do you take?
Immigration matters only. That is the whole practice — family petitions, humanitarian relief, naturalization, work authorization and removal defense.
Do you speak Spanish?
Sí. Our team works in English, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Mandarin and French — no outside interpreter required.
Can I bring my children?
Children are welcome. That said, if you need to concentrate on difficult details, you may prefer to arrange childcare for the appointment.
